Continuing the inaugural season of Dr. Timothy Seelig, the Chorus kicks up its cowboy-booted heels for some good ole country tunes – a real Hootenanny!!
The Chorus will delight you with the perfect summer offering of music and hilarious antics that only country music can provide: from Patsy Cline’s “She’s Got You,” and Tammy Wynette’s “DIVORCE,” to stunning choral arrangements of “Oh, What a Beautiful Morning” from OKLAHOMA.
You’ll sing, clap and dance along with the men as they whisk you through an evening of exuberant entertainment featuring San Francisco favorites; the Whoa Nellies Band and the Barbary Coast Cloggers, and Texas’ own queen of country, Kim Wisdom.

STEPOLOGY, a San Francisco-based nonprofit corporation, presents the 2011 Bay Area Rhythm Exchange. Included in the San Francisco Chronicle’s “Top Ten Dance Performances of the Year” in multiple years, this concert event returns to celebrate the joy and wonder of the uniquely American art form of tap dance. In this annual production, Bay Area Tap Festival artists perform to live musical accompaniment at San Francisco’s historic Herbst Theatre. As an exciting new addition to this year’s lineup, Melinda Sullivan of FOX’s So You Think You Can Dance joins a roster of today’s tap stars from Broadway, film, and the concert stage, including Music Director Channing Cook Holmes (Riverdance, Gangs of New York, Bojangles), Festival Director John Kloss (Tap Heat), Mark Mendonca (The Polar Express; Bring in ‘da Noise, Bring in ‘da Funk), Jason Rodgers (Bring in ‘da Noise, Bring in ‘da Funk), Sam Weber (Mr. Rogers’ Neighborhood), and more. And, the Barbary Coast Cloggers return for another showdown (or possibly, hoedown?) with the tappers!
